Rody. 01/22/1905 in Ekaterinoslav; Jewish; higher education; member of the Komsomol in 1925–1933. Graduated from the Literary and Linguistic Faculty of Leningrad State University. Member of the Union of Soviet Writers. Lived in Leningrad (Chernyshev lane, 14, apt. 34). Arrested on November 29, 1936, accused of “assistance in committing a terrorist attack.” Sentenced on December 23, 1936 by a visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR under Art. 17-58-8, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in prison with disqualification for 5 years and confiscation of property. In custody on Solovki, she was kept at the Muksalma camp. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10.10.1937 she was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 4, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated on November 29, 1956 (according to other sources, on February 13, 1958) by the decision of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR, reinstated in the Writers' Union of the USSR in March 1958
