Born in 1956 in Tallinn, Estonian. In 1977-1979 studied at Tartu State University. Lived in Tartu. Expelled from the university, he worked as a watchman and stove maker in the Tallinn Fire Department. He collected and published information about human rights violations and circulated samizdat. In December 1980 - April 1983 - one of the editors of the samizdat bulletin "Additions to the free circulation of ideas and information in Estonia" (issues 10-17). Arrested 04/13/1983. Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the ESSR on December 16, 1983 under Art. 68-1 of the Criminal Code of the ESSR (corresponds to Art. 70-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR) to 5 years of labor camp and 2 years of exile. In conclusion - in the Perm political camps, mainly in "Perm-35". Released on November 28, 1986 by pardon, returned to Tallinn. Rehabilitated. One of the founders of the Estonian National Independence Party. Member of the Estonian Congress (1990-1992). Awarded the Order of the State Emblem of the III and IV degrees (2000). Died 09/06/2010.
