Genus. in 1888 in Vitebsk; education at home and abroad. At a young age he joined the RSDOP(b), and in 1908 he joined the Bund. After the revolution of 1917, he was engaged in active Menshevik and right-wing Bundist activities. After the defeat of the Minsk Duma by the Germans in June 1918, he moved to Vitebsk, where on July 18, 1918 he was arrested in connection with the organization of a conference of authorized factories and factories; by a resolution of the Presidium of the Counterintelligence Department of the Vitebsk Cheka dated October 10, 1918, he was sentenced to imprisonment in a concentration camp as a hostage; sent to Moscow, kept in Butyrka prison; At the request of the All-Russian Council of Trade Unions of Commercial and Industrial Employees, by a resolution of the Board of the Cheka of October 25, 1918, he was released on bail. In 1921, a member of the Central Committee of the All-Russian Union of Employees and a member of the Plenum of the All-Russian Central Council of Trade Unions; By decree of the Cheka of February 21, 1921, he was released on his own recognizance with mandatory appearance at the first request of the Cheka. Arrested again in Moscow at the “Forward” club on February 25, 1921; by decree of the Presidium of the Cheka of November 15, 1921, he was deported to Turkestan for 1 year in custody for anti-Soviet agitation; On December 14, 1921, the same body canceled the decision and expelled him to the Arkhangelsk province. Having received permission to leave the USSR, from 1922 he lived in Germany and France, from 1940 - in the USA. Participated in the activities of the Mensheviks in exile. Died in New York in 1968. Rehabilitated by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation on March 27, 1998.
