Years of life: 1926-1975
Reproduction methods:
Genus. in 1926 in Leningrad. Captain 3rd rank, commander of the Soviet destroyer Soobrazitelny. 06/07/1959 fled from the Polish port of Gdynia to Sweden, where he was handed over to the Americans. In the USA, he changed his name to Shadrin Nicholas George, received American citizenship, lived in Arlington, and worked in the Intelligence Agency of the US Department of Defense. In the USSR (in absentia) he was sentenced to death. Discovered by KGB officers under a new name in 1965, converted, given the pseudonym "Lark". From 1966 to 1968 supplied the KGB with information about some CIA and DIA employees, and information from the Americans about the USSR Navy. Suspecting Artamonov of playing a double game, the KGB leadership decides to lure him to the USSR. In 1975, it was reported that the issue of his pardon had finally been resolved. Under the pretext of a meeting with an illegal immigrant, the KGB was lured to Vienna, sedated with chloroform in a car and driven in handcuffs to the poorly guarded Austrian-Czech border. On the way he came to his senses and was euthanized again. As a result, he fell into a coma and died. He was buried in Moscow under someone else's name.
