Genus. in 1904 in Vinnitsa, Podolsk province; Jew; higher education: legal and economic; during his student years he was a member of the TsSP. Arrested on January 10, 1929 by the Kyiv DPU of the Ukrainian SSR; sentenced by the OSO at the Kogpu on December 28, 1931 to 3 years of deportation to Eastern Siberia (according to other sources, sentenced to imprisonment in SLON); The decision of the OSO at the Kogpu dated 09/07/1932 allowed free residence on the territory of the USSR. Then he lived in Leningrad, was a member of the Hebrew circle. In 1934 he worked as a senior inspector at the Lengosnarpit Directorate; arrested on November 29, 1934, accused of counter-revolutionary and Zionist activities; sentenced by the OS under the NKVD of the USSR on March 13, 1935 to 3 years in labor camp; released at the request of M. Gorky by decree of the OS under the NKVD of the USSR dated 06/09/1935. Returning to Leningrad, he continued to study Jewish literature. In 1943–1946 he prepared a collection about Jewish war heroes. In 1947 he lived in Leningrad, worked as an auditor at the State Control under the Industrial Cooperation; arrested on December 26, 1947, accused of “during the period 1924–1927. among his circle he carried out anti-Soviet nationalist agitation aimed at undermining the Soviet state system”; sentenced by the USSR MGB OS on August 31, 1948 to 10 years in labor camp with confiscation of property. Served in the Intalage of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; released on parole from the Special Camp of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs (Inta, Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic) 02/12/1955 by Decree of the USSR PVS of 07/14/1954; sent into exile to a settlement in the city of Intu, Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic; deregistered as a settlement on July 2, 1955. Died in Leningrad in 1970. Rehabilitated in the 1934 case by the Presidium of the Leningrad City Court on October 16, 1962; in the case of 1948 - by the Presidium of the Leningrad City Court on July 10, 1962.
