Lived in Leningrad. He worked as a teacher at the Military-Political Academy of the Red Army named after N. G. Tolmachev. He worked part-time as a researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Leningrad branch of the Communist Academy. When filling out questionnaires during the “party purges,” he admitted past “hesitations in pursuing the general line of the party.”
At the beginning of 1936 he was transferred to Kharkov. He taught political economy at the Military Economic Academy of the Red Army. Expelled from the CPSU(b) with slanderous language when the exchange of party cards began. Fired from work. In June 1937, he received a referral from the military registration and enlistment office to work as an engineer-economist at the Giprostal design institute of the People's Commissariat of Ferrous Metals, where he worked until 1947. In 1950, he was appointed head of the planning department of the Oblproekt Institute. Arrested 08/08/1950. Sentenced to 10 years in labor camp. The wife was arrested. He served his sentence in Rechlag (Vorkuta), worked in the mines. His wife was released in 1955, Rakhlin - in 1956. He died on 02/09/1958 in Kharkov.
