Born in 1906 in Paris; Jewish; higher education - graduated from the Central Asian State University in 1927 and completed postgraduate studies at the Communist Academy in 1930 ; candidate for membership in the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). Doctor of Economics (1935), professor (1930). Worked as deputy director for academic affairs at the Herzen Pedagogical Institute. Lived in Leningrad, Plekhanov St., Bldg. 3, Apt. 4. Arrested on 10.04.1937 by the Leningrad Region NKVD as a member of the "counterrevolutionary Trotskyist Zinoviev organization." Sentenced on 30.11.1937 by a visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR in Leningrad under Article 58-8-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR    to capital punishment. Shot on November 30, 1937. Rehabilitated by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on August 29, 1956.
