Born in 1899 in St. Petersburg. Graduated from the Simbirsk Theological Academy in 1918. In 1919 he moved to Petrograd, graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Petrograd University, taught political economy, candidate of economic sciences, professor. He taught at the Tolmachev Military-Political Academy, at the Institute of Red Professors. Before his arrest, he was the head of the political economy department at the Higher Financial and Economic Institute. The marriage (with Stein E. Yu.) was not registered. Arrested in Leningrad in 1936. Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on 10.05.1937 to 10 years of imprisonment and 5 years of disenfranchisement. Imprisoned in the Solovetsky Special Purpose Prison. In 1939 he was transferred to Norilsk. Released in 1948, but did not receive permission to leave Norilsk. Sentenced a second time by the Special Conference of the USSR MGB to exile for life, left in Norilsk. Released and rehabilitated in 1955. From 1956 lived in Ulyanovsk, taught. Died on 25.02.1976.
