Genus. in 1893 in Smolensk. In 1912 he graduated from the Smolensk five-grade gymnasium with a silver medal. Member of the Bund from 1912 to 1917. In September 1915 he was drafted into the army, and a year later he was demobilized due to illness. In 1916 he entered the Faculty of Economics of the Kyiv Commercial Institute, and was expelled in 1918. In March 1918 he was appointed head of the extracurricular department of the Smolensk provincial department of public education (GUBONO). In November 1918 he joined the RCP(b) and the Red Army. From January 1919 to November 1920 - deputy chief, then head of the Political Directorate of the Western Military District. From November 1920 to November 1921 - head of the Higher Party School of the Western Front. In December 1921 he was sent to courses in Marxism at the Comacademy in Moscow, in 1922 he entered the history department of the Institute of the Red Professorship, and graduated in 1925. In 1926, he was sent to Leningrad as head of the department of general history of the Military-Political Academy named after. Tolmacheva. Combined with work at the Institute of History of the Leningrad Branch of the Academy (LOKA), the Pedagogical Institute. N.K. Krupskaya and Leningrad Institute of Philosophy, History and Linguistics. In 1934 he was confirmed with the rank of professor in the Department of General History of LIFLI. Lived in Leningrad, Kirochnaya st., 19, apt. 28. In accordance with the resolution of the Central Committee of 02/04/1935, he was expelled to the city of Zima, East Siberian Territory, in party order, and appointed to the position of head of the district department of public education. Arrested on June 4, 1936, imprisoned in Irkutsk, then escorted to the disposal of the NKVD in the Leningrad Region. Sentenced by the USSR All-Russian Military Commission on October 11, 1936 to military service. Shot on October 11, 1936. Rehabilitated on 05/11/1957 by the USSR Air Force.
