Genus. 01/16/1903 in Vilna (Poland); Jew; from workers; higher education; member of the CPSU (b) in 1918–1936. Chairman of the Kazan Provincial Committee of the Komsomol (1919–1920), student of the Communist University (1921–1923), head of the propaganda unit of the 84th and 17th divisions of Tula, Nizhny Novgorod (1924–1926), student of the Institute of Red Professors (1926–1930). In 1931–1934 head. Department of Philosophy, Azerbaijan Institute of Marxism-Leninism (Baku). Since 1934 in Leningrad (address before arrest: Lesnoy pr., 61, apt. 157). Professor of Philosophy (according to other sources, head of the department) of the Industrial Institute, Art. scientific specialist at the Institute of Philosophy of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Arrested on April 30, 1936, accused of participating in the “K/R Trotskyist-Zinoviev organization in the Leningrad Region of the USSR Academy of Sciences.” Sentenced on December 23, 1936 by a visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR under Art. 17-58-8, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in prison with loss of rights for 5 years. In custody in Solovetsky prison. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10.10.1937 he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 4, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated on July 14, 1957 by a ruling of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR. On October 16, 2016, a memorial sign was installed on building 1 of building No. 61 on Lesnoy Prospekt as part of the “Last Address” project.
