A specialist in dialectical materialism, he headed postgraduate seminars at the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Head chair of dialectical materialism at the Leningrad Planning Institute. One of the authors of a textbook on diamat (6 editions in 1928–1930). Professor of Philosophy; Deputy Director of the Institute of Language and Thought of the Academy of Sciences Arrested on 04/23/1933; charged under Art. 58-11; By the decision of the OGPU PP in the LVO on 05/11/1933, the case was dismissed. Arrested 01/04/1935; On February 5, 1935, he was sentenced by the OS of the NKVD of the USSR to deportation to Turukhansk for 4 years. In 1936 in exile in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Arrested 06/06/1936; transferred to Leningrad; sentenced by the Supreme Commissariat of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on 12/19/1936 under Art. 58-8, 11 to VMN with confiscation of property; shot on December 19, 1936. Place of burial - Leningrad.
