Born in 1893 in Lida, Vilnius Governorate; higher education - graduated from Kharkov University. Lived in Leningrad. Specialist in dialectical materialism, headed postgraduate seminars at the USSR Academy of Sciences. Head of the Department of Dialectical Materialism at the Leningrad Planning Institute. One of the authors of a textbook on dialectical materialism. Professor of philosophy; deputy director of the Institute of Language and Thought of the Academy of Sciences. Arrested on 23.04.1933, charged under Article 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. By the decree of the PP OGPU in the LVO on 11.05.1933, the case was dismissed. Arrested on 04.01.1935. Sentenced   05.02.1935   OS NKVD of the USSR for deportation to Turukhansk for 4 years. In 1936, in exile in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Arrested 06/06/1936. Transported to Leningrad. Sentenced   19.12.1936   The Supreme Court of the USSR under Art. 58-8, 11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR sentenced him to capital punishment with confiscation of property. He was executed on 19.12.1936 in Leningrad.
