Kurazov Ivan Fyodorovich
Born in 1896 in the village of Maryinskoye, Borovichi district, Novgorod province; higher education; member of the CPSU(b). Graduated from Petrograd University, Art. researcher at the Leningrad branch of the Coma Academy, professor at the Mining Institute of Non-Metallic Minerals, Geological Exploration Training Plant and the Institute of Consumer Cooperation. Lived in Leningrad, st. Dzerzhinskogo, 16, apt. 10. Arrested 01/09/1934. At a special meeting of the OGPU Collegium on March 3, 1934, he was sentenced to 3 years of exile. Served time in Tara, planner-economist. Arrested 09/02/1936. On October 10, 1937, the troika of the NKVD of the Omsk region was sentenced under Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. Shot on October 13, 1937. (His brother Nikolai Kurazov was sentenced in 1924 to 6 years in the camps.) Rehabilitated on September 26, 1958 by the Presidium of the Omsk Regional Court for lack of corpus delicti.
