Soviet military leader, regimental commissar. member of the CPSU(b) since 1918. In the 1930s. served as a senior lecturer in the philosophy department of the Military-Political Academy. He was a freelance employee of the NKVD. 08/23/1938 arrested. Accused of belonging to a communist Trotskyist organization, “pushing Trotskyism” in the textbooks he compiled and edited; in that, being a secret employee of the NKVD, he was engaged in disinformation. During the preliminary investigation, he denied these charges. 06/05/1939 By resolution of the OS, he was sentenced to 8 years in labor camp. He served his sentence in Kolyma, where he died on February 8, 1941. Rehabilitated on September 1, 1956.
