Talankin Alexander Alexandrovich

Born in 1898 in the village of Nadezhdino , Ufa district (canton) in Bashkortostan; Russian; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1917-1937. In 1917, after graduating from high school, he was elected a member of the board of the Ufa provincial department of public education, and in April 1918 he was appointed instructor and lecturer at the provincial headquarters of combat militias. From 1919 - in the Red Army: Red Army soldier of the 2nd Army on the Eastern Front, agitator-organizer in the army political department, employee of the special department, lecturer in the political department, head of the cultural and educational department, lecturer at the army party school, political consultant. In 1921-1922 he served as a military commissar in the Ural Military District, and in 1922-1924 he worked in political departments in Turkestan. From October 1924 - a student of the Moscow Courses for Higher Political Personnel, in 1925 - a teacher at the Tolmachev Military-Political Academy of the Red Army in Leningrad, then at the Frunze Military Academy. Published in scientific publications on military psychology. In 1930 - head of the personnel sector at the Institute of Psychology, from 01.01.1931 at the Communist Academy. In 1932 he was transferred to Leningrad, appointed head of the psychology sector at the Bekhterev State Institute for the Study of the Brain and concurrently - a teacher at the department of dialectical materialism of the N.G. Tolmachev Military-Political Academy (and from July 1936 - acting head of the department). Lived in Leningrad, Slutskogo St., Building 2, Bldg. "C", Apt. 36. In 1935 he was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Philosophical Sciences without defending a dissertation. , in 1936 - professor, brigade commissar. 0 03/07/1937 dismissed from the Military-Political Academy "due to political mistrust". Arrested 06/04/1937. Sentenced 08/31/1937 by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR, visiting session in Leningrad, under Art. 58-8-10-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. Shot 08/31/1937. Rehabilitated in 1957.
On December 22, 2019, a personal memorial sign was installed on house No. 2 on Tavricheskaya Street in St. Petersburg in memory of A.A. Talankin as part of the Last Address project.
