Born in 1890 in Kyiv; Jewish; incomplete higher military education. Soviet military figure, illegal intelligence officer, film production organizer, editor and journalist. Brigade Commissar (1936). Arrested on 03.06.1950 by the UMGB SKO. Sentenced on 14.08.1950 under Art. 58-10, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in a labor camp. Rehabilitated by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 16.06.1992.
