Born in 1891 in Rostov-on-Don; Jewish; from the civil servants; higher education; expelled from the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1935. Psychologist, linguist. Doctor of Philosophy (1914). Sentenced on 20.03.1935 by the Special Specialized Department of the NKVD of the USSR to 5 years in a labor camp. Imprisoned in the Karaganda ITL of the NKVD. Sentenced on 26.12.1937 by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on charges of espionage and participation in a counter-revolutionary terrorist organization to capital punishment. Shot on 26.12.1937 in Moscow, burial place - Kommunarka. Rehabilitated by the Military Commission of the Supreme Court of the USSR in June 1957.
