Karpovich Vladimir Stanislavovich
Definition: Figure of the GPU / NKVD of the USSR, captain of state security. Deputy People's Commissar of Internal Affairs of the Bashkir ASSR. He was a member of the special troika of the NKVD of the USSR. Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Bashkir ASSR of the 1st convocation.

Genus. in 1898 in St. Petersburg in a working-class family. He joined the RCP(b) in 1919. From the same year he worked in the bodies of the Cheka-OGPU-NKVD. In 1935-1936. - Head of the Kingisepp OKRO UNKVD LO; in 1936-1937 - head of the 1st department of the SPO of the UNKVD LO, assistant to the head of the SPO of the UNKVD of the Leningrad Region; in 1937-1939 - Deputy People's Commissar of Internal Affairs of the Bashkir ASSR. He was a member of a special troika, actively participated in the Stalinist repressions. He was elected a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Bashkir ASSR of the 1st convocation. On March 13, 1939, he was dismissed from service due to the impossibility of being used at work in the Main Directorate of State Security. Arrested 03/21/1940. Sentenced on 04.02.1941 by the VKVS of the USSR to 10 years in prison. Released early in 1944.
