Genus. in 1859 in Tsarskoe Selo, St. Petersburg province; eldest son of Grand Duke Mikhail Nikolaevich and Olga Fedorovna. 04/03/1918–07/21/1918 – in exile in Vologda. was exiled with his brother Georgy Mikhailovich and cousin Dmitry Konstantinovich to Vologda. He refused to run away with a false passport. Arrested 07/01/1918; On July 21, 1918, he was transported to Petrograd, where he was kept in the DPZ. Sentenced by the Presidium of the Cheka on 01/09/1919 to VMN (Lenin’s resolution: “The revolution does not need historians.” Shot on one of the nights of the last ten days of January 1919. Probably buried in a mass grave on the territory of Hare Island. Rehabilitated by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation on 06/09/1999.
