Smirensky Vladimir Viktorovich

Genus. in 1902 in the village of Ivanovsky, Shlisselburg district, St. Petersburg province; Russian; b/p. In 1930 he lived in Leningrad, worked as a statistician in the Regional Planning Office; arrested 09/18/1930; sentenced by Troika PP OGPU LVO 01/02/1931 (according to other sources, 02/20/1931) under Art. 58-10 to 10 (according to other sources, to 5) years of imprisonment; sent first to the construction of the White Sea Canal, then, presumably in 1937, to the Kuibyshev hydroelectric complex, where he worked as a hydraulic engineer. In the 1950s, he was sent to the construction of the Volga-Don shipping canal as the head of the main department of the Tsimlyansky hydroelectric complex construction department. After liberation, he lived in Volgodonsk, where in 1967 he created the city Literary Museum. Died in 1977. Rehabilitated in the 1930 case by the Leningrad Prosecutor's Office on August 31, 1989.
