Solonevich Yuri Ivanovich

Genus. in 1915 in Moscow; Russian; secondary education; b/p. In 1932, together with his father and uncle, he made his first attempt to escape from the USSR, but it failed. In 1933 he lived in Moscow, at the station. Saltykovka, student; together with his father and uncle, he participated in September 1933 in an attempt to escape from the USSR; arrested on the train along with all the participants in the escape on 09/09/1933; sentenced by the Troika PP of the OGPU to the Leningrad Military District on November 28, 1933 under Art. 58-6, 10 to 3 years of ITL; the term was reduced by 1/3 as a minor; served on BBK; 08/28/1934 (according to other data, 08/10/1934) again, with his father, who was in the same camp in Medvezhya Gora, and his uncle, who was in the camp in Lodeynoye Pole, he escaped from the camp and from the USSR. In 1949–1951 he was on the all-Union wanted list. In exile in Bulgaria, Germany, Argentina, Uruguay, he illustrated books by I.L. Solonevich. In 1952 he moved to the USA, died on February 21, 2003.
