Definition: Ukrainian scientist and politician. Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (1973), honorary academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher School of Ukraine. One of the founders of the Ukrainian Republican Party "Cathedral". In 1980-1985 - Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR.
