Tikhonov Andrey Nikolaevich

Definition: Soviet mathematician and geophysicist, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences, twice Hero of Socialist Labor. Founder of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Moscow State University. Author of a widely used computational method called “Tikhonov regularization”.
