Genus. in 1933 in the village. Gody-Dobrovodka, Kolomyia district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. 1949 graduated from a 7-year school and entered the Kolomyia woodworking technical school. In December 1952 he was mobilized into the army. I studied at the school of aircraft mechanics and gunsmiths at the station for a year. Morozovsk in the Rostov region, then served as an armament mechanic in the city of Wienernostadt in Austria. Having been demobilized in 1955, he got a job as a sawmill worker at a wood processing plant in the village. Benefit, then as a turner in the central repair shop. In 1957-58 He studied in absentia at the Snyatyn Agricultural College. He was one of the founders of the United Party for the Liberation of Ukraine. 04.12.1958 arrested in the village Broshnev, Rozhnyatinsky district. Convicted by the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Court on March 10, 1959. by 10 years of ITC.In the spring of 1959, he arrived at the Vikhorevka maximum security camp in the Irkutsk region. In the spring of 1961 he was transported to Mordovia, to camp ZH-385/7, Dubrovlag administration. In the fall of 1965 he was transferred to camp No. 1, then to camp No. 11.
Released on December 4, 1968, he returned to his native village. 1988 entered the Ukrainian Helsinki Union. In the early 1990s, he headed the regional organization of the NRU. He was a deputy of the first convocation of the district council. Member of the Ukrainian Republican Party. Since 1991, he actively participated in the reburial of UPA participants and the restoration of the graves of soldiers of the liberation struggle in the villages of Chasov, Gusakov, Stoyantsy, Krukenichi, Khorosnitsa, Mostysky district. He was awarded several diplomas and the honorary sign “Cross of Victory” for his services in the national liberation struggle, in the establishment and development of the Ukrainian state.
Author of numerous articles, leaflets, book of memoirs "Hurricanes". Retired, rehabilitated.
