In 1937 he lived in Leningrad, worked at the Museum of Communications as a temporary assistant to the caretaker; member of the “circle of medievalists”; arrested 12/09/1937; sentenced by Troika UNKVD according to Leningrad Region on December 25, 1937 under Art. 58-10 part 2 to 10 years in prison. He died on March 17, 1942 in Oneglag. Rehabilitated by the Presidium of the Leningrad City Court
