Genus. in 1904. In 1935 he lived in Moscow, Arbat, 45, apt. 18. Party member, statesman. He became famous for his deeds in the Donbass as the first secretary of the Gorlovka city party committee. As a result of the radical restructuring of Gorlovka, on the initiative of Furer, parks were laid out on an area of 92 hectares, 12,000 square meters of pavement were laid, more than ten kilometers of sidewalks and alleys were laid, and 150 thousand trees and bushes were planted. Furer was a friend of Isaac Babel, who, having arrived in Donbass to collect materials for a new book, lived in his apartment. Summoned to Moscow (he was requested to join the central office by L.M. Kaganovich, impressed by Furer’s Donbass achievements), he held a number of positions in the Moscow City Committee and the Moscow Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks. The last position was the head of the department of cultural and educational work. In the fall of 1936, Furer shot himself, leaving a letter to Stalin. At the closed Plenum of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, held on December 4 and 7. 1936, Stalin said, addressing Bukharin: “... the former oppositionists took an even more difficult step in order to maintain at least a grain of trust on our part and once again demonstrate their sincerity - people began to commit suicide <...> Fuhrer. What kind of letter did he also leave after his suicide? Reading it, you can literally shed a tear <...> And a person with the slightest bit of political experience will understand that this is not the case here. We know Furer what he was capable of. <...> Here is one of the last, sharpest and easiest means with which, before death, leaving this world, you can spit on the party for the last time, deceive the party. Here, Comrade Bukharin, is the background to the latest suicides” (Fragments of the transcript of the December plenum of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, 1936).
