Calitis Ints Maksovich (Cälitis Ints)
Genus. in 1931 in Riga; Latvian; high school student. Lived in Riga. Arrested on November 18, 1948 for creating an underground youth organization. VT PribVO was sentenced on March 28, 1949 to 25 years in labor camp. In 1955, the term was reduced to 10 years, released as having served 2/3 of the term with “eternal settlement in the Magadan region.” 04/20/1956 released from exile on the basis of the order of the Prosecutor General of the USSR, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR and the KGB of the USSR dated 03/19/1956. Returned to Riga. He worked as a master electrician in the Construction Department of Latportebsoyuz. Arrested on December 10, 1958 for “anti-Soviet” statements in letters from prison and conversations with friends, possession of “anti-Soviet” literature. Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the Latvian SSR on September 30, 1958 under Art. 58-10 part 1 to 6 years of labor camp. He was held in the Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, l/o No. 7-1, 7, 11. Released in 1964. He worked as a pumping equipment operator for the Water Supply and Sewerage Department. Arrested on 04/11/1983 in Riga for participation in the preparation and collection of signatures for petitions of Baltic dissidents. Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the Latvian SSR on September 23, 1983 under Art. 65 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Latvian SSR to 6 years of penal colony (the first 2 years of imprisonment). He served his sentence in the Chistopol prison and Perm camps. According to the Decree of the PVS of the Latvian SSR dated June 20, 1986, he was released on parole with a probationary period of 3 years. Released 07/04/1986. Rehabilitated on February 23, 1990 by the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the Latvian SSR.
