Genus. in 1920 in the village. Solomenskoye, Stepnovsky district, Stavropol Territory. In 1940 he was drafted into the Red Army. At the beginning of the summer of 1941 he went to the front. Once in the occupied territory, he rallied an underground group. Captured in Kyiv, sent to work in Germany. In the winter of 1943 he was transferred to the Buchenwald concentration camp. After his release, he returned to the USSR, where he was accused of treason. Released.
