Virtuoso violinist, People's Artist of Russia. Born on December 18, 1927 in Vladivostok. Graduated from the Moscow Conservatory. Arrested in 1949. Sentenced to 10 years in labor camp ("for ideological differences with the line of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks in the field of art (music), manifestation of treasonous sentiments"). He served his sentence in Special Cell No. 4 (mines near Dzhezkazgan). Released in 1954. Rehabilitated after the death of I. Stalin. Lived in Moscow. Musical director of the Romen Theater. He acted in films. He died on September 30, 2007, and was buried in the Armenian section of the Vagankovsky cemetery (Moscow).
