Polyansky Peter Fedorovich (Metropolitan Peter)
Locum Tenens of the Patriarchal Throne (1925-1936).
Arrested 12/09/1925. 11/05/1926 sentenced to three years of exile. In December, he was transferred through transit prisons to Tobolsk, in February 1927 he was taken to the village of Abalak, where he was kept in the Abalaksky monastery controlled by the Renovationists. In early April, he was again arrested and taken to the Tobolsk prison. In the summer of 1927, by order of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee, he was exiled beyond the Arctic Circle, to the coast of the Gulf of Ob, to the village of Khe, where he was deprived of medical care. On May 11, 1928, by a resolution of the Special Meeting of the OGPU, the term of exile was extended for 2 years. On August 17, 1930, he was again arrested. He was held in the prisons of Tobolsk and Yekaterinburg. On July 23, 1931, by a special meeting of the OGPU, he was sentenced to five years in a camp, but was left in prison in an internal isolation ward.
On October 2, 1937, the NKVD troika in the Chelyabinsk region was sentenced to death.
