Lived in Moscow. Singer of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Central House of the Red Army. Arrested on April 20, 1937 on charges of treason. Sentenced in 1937 to 10 years in labor camp. Imprisoned in Tenlag and Maglag. In 1945, he took part in the production of G. Verdi's opera La Traviata by the cultural brigade of the Magadan SVITL NKVD camp, performing the role of Alfred Germont. Released on April 20, 1947.
