Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks. Lived in Moscow, st. Serafimovicha, 2 (Government House), apt. 61. Arrested on June 22, 1937, accused of espionage. Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on July 28, 1938 to military service. Shot on July 29, 1938 in Moscow. Burial place - Kommunarka. Rehabilitated by the Supreme Commander of the USSR Armed Forces in November 1955.
