Genus. in 1878 in the village. Danilovka , Alexandrovsky district, Ekaterinoslav province; Jew; teacher's son; incomplete higher education; member of the CPSU (b) (expelled in December 1917, reinstated in December 1919). Former deputy People's Commissar for Foreign Affairs, head of the Sovinformburo, at the time of arrest - head. Department of International Relations of the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, member of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks. Lived in Moscow, st. Serafimovicha, 2 (Government House), apt. 16. Arrested 01/26/1949. Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on July 18, 1952 on charges of treason to the Motherland. Shot on August 12, 1952 in Moscow. Burial place - Donskoye Cemetery. Rehabilitated by the Military Commissariat of the USSR Armed Forces on November 22, 1955.
