Shlyapnikov Alexander Gavrilovich
Soviet statesman, first People's Commissar of Labor of the RSFSR (1917-1918)
Born in 1885 in Murom , Vladimir region; Russian; primary education; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1901-1933. Lived in Moscow, Spasopeskovsky Lane, Building 3/1, Apt. 53. Arrested on January 2, 1935. Sentenced by the Special Special Section of the NKVD of the USSR on March 26, 1935 to 5 years in a labor camp. By a resolution of the Special Special Section of the NKVD of the USSR dated December 10, 1935, the unserved term was replaced by exile to Astrakhan. Rehabilitated by the Military Commission of the Supreme Court of the USSR on January 31, 1963. Arrested on September 2, 1936. Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on September 2, 1937 on charges of counter-revolutionary terrorist activity to capital punishment. Shot on September 2, 1937 in Moscow. Burial place: Donskoye Cemetery. Rehabilitated by the Military Commission of the USSR Armed Forces on January 31, 1963.
