Mitelman Rosa Yakovlevna
Born in 1893 in Saratov, in the family of a handicraftsman; higher education. Doctor, worked at the Institute for the Protection of Motherhood and Infancy. Lived in Leningrad, 4th Sovetskaya St., Bldg. 8, Apt. 11. Arrested on 17 April 1937 on charges that "periodically coming to Arkhangelsk to visit her exiled husband D.M. Pines, she was involved in the illegal Northern United Socialist-Revolutionary Terrorist Organization. She maintained contact between the organization and the Socialist-Revolutionary terrorist center." Sentenced to capital punishment by the decree of the troika of the NKVD Directorate for the Arkhangelsk Region on 23 October 1937. She was executed on 27 October 1937. Rehabilitated by the determination of the Military Treasury of the White Sea Military District on 29 April 1956.
On July 2, 2017, a personal memorial sign was installed on house No. 8 on 4th Sovetskaya Street in St. Petersburg in memory of R.Ya. Mitelman as part of the Last Address project.
