Born in 1903 in Dnepropetrovsk. Worked as chief engineer of the Lenenergo power grid. Lived in Leningrad, Khersonskaya St., Bldg. 21, Apt. 6. Arrested on September 17, 1937 by the NKVD Directorate for Leningrad Oblast. Sentenced on November 19, 1937 by the Commission of the NKVD and the Prosecutor of the USSR under Art. 58-7-9-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. Shot in Leningrad on November 24, 1937. Rehabilitated by the determination of the Military Tribunal of the Carpathian Military District dated October 8, 1957.

On 05.02.2017, a personal memorial sign was installed on house No. 21 on Khersonskaya Street in St. Petersburg in memory of A.D. Sukhotinsky as part of the Last Address project.
