Born in 1899 in the village of Soboli (in the certificate - Chashnikovsky district of the BSSR, administrative and geographical affiliation could not be specified); Russian; lower education; b/p. In 1938 he lived in Leningrad, worked as a stoker at the Red Banner factory. Arrested 10/03/1938 by the NKVD in the Leningrad Region; was accused of belonging to the Latvian intelligence service on the territory of the USSR; sentenced by OSO under the NKVD of the USSR on 07/26/1939 to 3 years in labor camp; left for Kolyma. Rehabilitated in the case of 1938 VT LVO 11/16/1959.
