Deputy Commander of the Leningrad Military District Air Force, Major General
Born in 1896 in Saratov; Russian; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) since 1932. Deputy Commander of the Leningrad Military District Air Force, Major General. Arrested on June 7, 1941. Sentenced to capital punishment by the Special Specialized Department of the NKVD of the USSR on February 13, 1942 on charges of participating in an anti-Soviet military conspiracy. Executed on February 23, 1942 in Engels. Rehabilitated on December 7, 1955 by the Military Commission of the USSR Armed Forces.
On 02.02.2020, a personal memorial sign was installed on house No. 8/23 on Strastnoy Boulevard in Moscow in memory of A.A. Levin as part of the Last Address project.
