Born 25.04.1900; from peasants, education: in 1921-1924 he studied at the Yegoryevsk and Borisoglebsk aviation schools, in 1929 he graduated from the Advanced Training Courses for Command Personnel at the Air Force Academy; Member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) since 1919. In the Red Army since 1918. In 1934-1936 - commander and military commissar of the 403rd Fighter Aviation Brigade, in 1936 - a student of the operations department of the Air Force Academy, in 1936-1937 - head of a group of fighter pilots in Spain, in 1937 - commander of the Moscow Military District Air Force, commander of the OKDVA Air Force, in 1938 at the disposal of the chief of the Red Army Air Forces, in 1938-1941 chief of the flight test station of the 1st aircraft plant, chief of the Combat Training Directorate of the Red Army Air Forces, lieutenant general of aviation (1940). In 1941 - commander of the Moscow Military District Air Force. Arrested on 31.05.1941. Sentenced to capital punishment by the Special Conference of the NKVD of the USSR on 13.02.1942. Shot on 23.02.1942. Rehabilitated on 25.06.1955.
