Member of the Swiss Komsomol (1918-1922), representative of the Central Committee of the Swiss Komsomol in the Berlin Bureau of the KIM (1921-1922), member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) since 1926. Citizen of Switzerland, in 1922 he moved to the USSR as a political emigrant, since 1936 - citizen of the USSR. In the Red Army since 1923. Major General of Aviation (1940). Hero of the Soviet Union (1936). Assistant to the Commander of the Air Force of the Oryol Military District for higher education institutions. Lived in the city of Oryol. Arrested on 30.05.1941. Sentenced on 13.02.1942 by the Special Specialized Specialized Unit of the NKVD of the USSR as a German spy and participant in an anti-Soviet military conspiracy to capital punishment. Shot on 23.02.1942. Rehabilitated on 26.11.1955 by the Military Commission of the Armed Forces of the USSR.
