Bolchis Vasily Ivanovich
Design engineer, contractor, worked at OKB-172 (in the Kresty prison)
Genus. in 1905 in the city of Kolpino, St. Petersburg province, in a working-class family. From the age of 15 he worked as a draftsman at the Izhora plant. In 1929, after serving in the army, he was sent to the workers' faculty of the Bolshevik plant, as a draftsman in the plant's design bureau. Member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) since 1931. In 1936 he graduated from the power engineering faculty of the LII. Design engineer at the Bolshevik plant. On July 26, 1937, he submitted an application to the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks and the party committee of the plant about leaving the party: “... in our country, mad terror is raging without any hint of humanity... Such a policy cannot be justified by any speculation about a bright future for "of the entire people. But I cannot be held responsible for the crimes of the leadership. Therefore, I ask you to exclude me from its ranks." Arrested on July 28, 1937. 07/10/1939 The Military Tribunal of the Leningrad Military District sentenced to 10 years in labor camp. From 08/11/1938 he was in the Kresty Design Bureau. 07/21/1941 was evacuated from Leningrad along with the OKB convoy, until the summer of 1942 in Tomsk prison, then transferred to Molotov (OKB-172 Motovilikha). Released in 1947, left at OKB-172 as a civilian designer. Arrested on May 13, 1949. 07/20/1949 OSO MGB USSR sentenced to indefinite exile to the Krasnoyarsk Territory. He worked at a metallurgical plant in Norilsk. Released on September 17, 1954. In 1957 he returned to Leningrad, worked at the Mekhanobr Research Institute, and from 1962 at the Bolshevik plant.
