Founding member of the unofficial organization "Free Interprofessional Association of Workers" (1978-1979), editor of the newsletter of the SMOT Information Agency (IAS).
Genus. in 1945 in Omsk; Russian; secondary education; worker; founding member of the unofficial organization "Free Interprofessional Association of Workers" (SP SMOT) (1978-1979). Lived in Leningrad. Arrested on 03/19/1979 for editing the “SMOT Newsletter” Sentenced by the Leningrad City Court on 06/12/1979 under Article 190-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (“deliberately false fabrications discrediting the Soviet state and social system”) to 2 years in a penal colony. He served his sentence in the Bashmaki camp in the Perm region. Released in 1981. Returned to Leningrad. Graduated from 5 courses of the Geological Faculty of Leningrad University; geologist. Arrested 12/08/1982. Sentenced by the judicial panel for criminal cases of the Leningrad City Court on May 24, 1983 under Art. 70 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 5 years in prison, followed by reference to 4 years. He served his sentence in the Perm camps. By decree of the PVS of the USSR dated 02/02/1987, he was pardoned. After his release he settled in Moscow. In the early 1990s, he was editor of the newsletter of the SMOT Information Agency (IAS). Rehabilitated on December 28, 1992 by the conclusion of the St. Petersburg prosecutor’s office on the basis of the “Law on the Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression.” Founder and editor-in-chief of the charitable animal protection newspaper “Dog Life” (1990s). Died 05/06/2003. in Moscow. Buried in the village. Akhtyrka, Sergiev Posad district, Moscow region.
