Kozovoy Vadim Markovich
Definition: Russian poet, essayist, translator and interpreter of French poetry of the 19th-20th centuries.
Years of life: 1937-1999
Reproduction methods:
Genus. in 1937 in Kharkov; Jew; member of the Komsomol; student of the 4th year of the history department of Moscow State University. Lived in Moscow. Arrested on 08/14/1957. on charges of participating in the unofficial circle "Union of Patriots of Russia" (the so-called "case of Lev Krasnopevtsev", "case of young historians")
Sentenced by the Moscow City Court on February 12, 1958. under Art. 58-10 hours 1, 58-11 (arrested for participation in the sub-group "League of Patriots") to 8 years in labor camp. According to the decision of the PVS of the RSFSR of 10/18/1963. pardoned. Released 10/28/1963. On February 17, 1981, under pressure from French officials, with the support of the literary community, he was released abroad to treat his son in France. In 1985 he was joined by his wife and youngest son. In 1987 received French citizenship. Died March 22, 1999 in Paris.
