Genus. in 1931 in Poltava. He studied at the Secondary Art School from 1944 to 1947, and was expelled. In 1953 he entered the correspondence department of the Moscow Printing Institute, the faculty of artistic design of printed materials. He communicated with French tourists, sold them works, and therefore was arrested in 1956 and convicted under Art. 58 clause 10 “for anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda.” Kept in Mordovia, institution ZH/385/7.
Released on April 15, 1960. In 1961 - 1991 worked as an artist at the Factory of Commercial Equipment and at the Plant of Painting and Design Art of the Leningrad Branch of the Art Fund of the RSFSR, as a decorator at the Leningrad Drama Theater. V.F. Komissarzhevskaya and at the Leningrad State Comedy Theater, as a model maker in the Kazan Cathedral and in Anikushin’s workshop. In 1968 - 1988 worked as an illustrator at the publishing house "Children's Literature" (Moscow, Leningrad). In 1978 he joined the Leningrad organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR (LOSKh), graphics section. In 1991 he retired. Rehabilitated in 1992. Died on May 22, 1999 in St. Petersburg.
