Genus. in 1924, in the Penza region. Disabled of the Great Patriotic War of the 1st group (ended the war in Prague on 05/09/1945).
After the war, he worked in the Crimea in the Simferopol newspaper, then in the Crimean Regional Executive Committee. In 1947 he entered the Leningrad Theological Seminary, and a year later he entered the Theological Academy. He worked as an archivist for the Metropolitan of Leningrad and Novgorod Grigory (Chukov).
In 1958, during Khrushchev’s persecution of the Church, he was sentenced under the political article 58, paragraph 10 to 4 years and 2 years of exile, served in Siberian camps (Ozerlag, Taishet-Vikhorevka), then on a general transfer in Mordovia (Dubrovlag). In 1988 he was rehabilitated by the Supreme Court of the RSFSR. He served as a priest for some time in the city of Omsk. He died on September 11, 2006 in Kislovodsk, and was buried there in the city cemetery.
