Genus. in 1929 in the village. Grinding Smolensk district, Altai Territory., Russian, higher education. In 1948–1949 served in the music platoon of the Tomsk Artillery School. In 1949-1954. studied at the Military Institute of Foreign Languages (MIFL), then was sent to the position of translator officer in the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany. 05.12.1955 fled to the West, to Germany. Sentenced to death in absentia. He considered the real reason for the escape to be a protest against the genocide of the Russian people by the “Jewish authorities.” In May 1956 received a West German emigrant passport. In 1956–1958 worked in the Central Association of Post-War Political Emigrants from the USSR. He worked at the radio station “Osvobozhdenie” (“Freedom”). Views: extreme anti-Sovietism and anti-Semitism. In 1958 received permission to enter Canada. Came into contact with the Soviet Committee for Return to the Homeland. I made decisions to return to my homeland. Arrested on October 28, 1958. in Karlhorst (GDR), sent to a filtration point in the village. Verkhovichi, near Brest, then – detention in Lubyanka and Lefortovo prisons.Convicted by the Military Tribunal of the Moscow Military District on August 15-16, 1959. according to Art. 1 and 9 of the Law “On criminal liability for state. crime" to 10 years in prison. He served his sentence in Mordovia, Dubravlag. Released early on September 22, 1965. In 1965–1966 worked as a teacher at a technical school in Barnaul, since 1966. - technical translator in the design bureau of Ivanovo, lived in Ivanovo, 4th Parkovaya St., 13.
Arrested on December 20, 1966. Leningrad KGB “For failure to report on the Mashkov case”, accused of trying to betray the Motherland (“leave the USSR to the West”). Charged under Art. 88-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR, was kept in the Kresty prison. Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Leningrad City Court dated 02-03. On 04.1968 he was sentenced to 3 years in a strict regime labor camp.
He served his sentence in the Usolka Kisellag camp, at a logging site, from September 1968. to December 1969 Released on December 20, 1969. Lived in Alexandrov. He worked as a helper, laborer, and fireman. In 1971–1973 he lived in the town of Pokrov. He worked in the church as a reader and singer, and as a translator in the publishing department of the Moscow Patriarchate. Since 1974 lived in the city of Alexandrov. He worked at the Trinity Cathedral as a church choirboy, a janitor, a watchman, and later as a fireman in a boiler room.
Since 1989 - retired.
