Genus. 07/01/1934 in Leningrad in an artistic family. In 1949 graduated from a vocational school in 1952. - ten-year evening school.
In 1956 Graduated from the Higher Naval School named after. Frunze. Demobilized due to the reduction of the Soviet Army. In 1957–1962 served as a navigator of the merchant fleet, sailed in the Black Sea, in the North, in the Far East. He wrote poetry, visited Literary Associations of Leningrad, where he performed reading his poems. In 1961 The first book of poems “Ocean Salt” was published. Arrested in September 1962 in Batumi for attempting to escape from the USSR (trying to swim to neutral waters). Sentenced to 10 years in labor camp under Art. 58. In 1963–1965 was kept in the Mordovian camps, Potma, in 1966–1968. - in the Vladimir prison. In January 1969, due to the end of his prison term, he was transferred to Potma. In 1969 tries to escape from the camp, and is re-incarcerated in the Vladimir prison. In the spring of 1971 decided to emigrate from the USSR. Released in September 1972, he arrived in Leningrad. Summer 1973 emigrated to Israel. Later he moved to Europe, then to the USA. Died in November 1984.
