Genus. in 1927 in Likhoslavl, Kalinin region; Russian. In 1945 he entered the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys. From college he was drafted into the army. In 1947, he was arrested in the army for refusing to participate in elections and political poetry and sentenced by a military tribunal to 10 years; he served his term in Vorkutlag. He was released from prison under an amnesty in 1956, settled in Novoshakhtinsk (Rostov region), worked as a shaft assistant at the mine named after. Gorky. In 1962, the verdict was overturned by the Supreme Court of the USSR.
Arrested 05/31/1958. Sentenced by the Rostov Regional Court on August 29, 1958 under Art. obv.: 58-10 part 1 to 10 ITL. Dubrovlaga (Mordovia). Returned to Novoshakhtinsk 08/31/1968
In 1970, he was sentenced to 1 year in prison on charges of stealing wind instruments. In 1972, he was again sentenced to 5 years in prison for a clash with the police on charges of malicious hooliganism. A few days before his release, he wrote a statement renouncing Soviet citizenship and demanded to leave the USSR. For this, he was accused of “disseminating deliberately false fabrications discrediting the Soviet system,” declared insane and sent to a special mental hospital in Chernyakhovsk. In September 1982, two months before his death, he was transferred to Novoshakhtinsk, to a regular psychiatric hospital, where he died of a heart attack and was buried in the city cemetery.
