Temin Gennady Mikhailovich
Genus. 02/04/1927 in the village. Andreikovo (according to other sources, the village of Lukonino, Prechistensky district) Yaroslavl region. Since 1935 he lived in Yaroslavl. In 1942 he began working at a military plant. In 1946, he was sentenced under Art. 59-3 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (“banditry”) to 10 years in prison. From 1945 to 1947 he was imprisoned in Int. He worked in a foundry as a molder. He escaped and was caught. In 1949 he was sentenced under Art. 1 part 2 of the Decree of 06/04/1947 to 10 l/s. The sentence has been increased to 20 years. Since 1949 he has been imprisoned in Ustvymlag. He worked on a timber rafting operation on the river. Wislanaya. In September 1949 he made a second escape. Caught in 1949, under Art. 2 of the Decree of 06/04/1947 sentenced to 15 years in prison. In September 1950, he arrived in a convoy on the steamship Nogin to Magadan, Kolyma. On 10/30/1950 he made an armed escape (with a revolver and a knife), then voluntarily returned to the zone, where he was beaten by supervisors and guards. 09/22/1951 sentenced by the Military Tribunal to death on three counts of Art. 58 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR, as for a counter-revolutionary armed uprising. Pending confirmation of the verdict in Moscow, he was placed on death row for 215 days. 04/26/1952 the verdict was read out: 12/01/1951 The Military Collegium of the Supreme Court appealed the death sentence and replaced it with 25 years in labor camp. Received the status of a political prisoner. As a result of all escapes, the total prison term is 185 years. From May 1952 he was transferred to the special penal zone at the Shturmovoy mine, and in 1953 to the Tangara maximum security camp (Northern Directorate). Activated, in 1956 taken to the mainland as a disabled person. In 1957 he was kept in Ozerlag (Irkutsk region), then in Siblag, in the camps of the Kemerovo region, in Taishet and Kraslag. In 1959–1965 he was imprisoned in Mordovian camps. On 09/06/1968, by the decision of the Military Tribunal of the Volga Military District, the sentence was reduced to the one actually served, and released from prison on 09/07/1968. In total, he spent 23 years in camps and prisons. Since the late 1960s he lived in Luga and Leningrad. He wrote memoirs, prose, poetry (the poetic cycle “Flowers of Truth”), and published them in periodicals. Author of the book “In the Shadow of the Law. Pain about the experience” (St. Petersburg, 1995). Member of the Memorial Society since 04/04/1998. Died 11/21/1998.
