Uspensky Kirill Vladimirovich (literary pseudonym - Koscinsky)
Genus. in 1915 in Petrograd; b/p. In 1934 he was admitted to the Leningrad Infantry School named after S.M. Kirov, while studying at the evening department of Leningrad University. In 1942 he graduated from the Frunze Military Academy. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Published in the magazine "Star" (1947-1953, 1970). Since 1953 - member of the Writers' Union. Lived in Leningrad. Arrested on July 18, 1960 by the USSR Criminal Code for the Leningrad Region. Accused of anti-Soviet conversations and distributing anti-Soviet literature. Sentenced by the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Leningrad City Court on September 28, 1960 to 5 years in prison. Imprisoned in Dubravlaga. In 1978, together with his wife Anna, he emigrated to Austria, then to the USA. Compiled a dictionary of Russian jargon. Published in emigrant publications. Rehabilitated on the basis of the Law of the Russian Federation of October 18, 1991. Died on December 28, 1984 at Harvard.
