Mikhailov Boris Borisovich
Orthodox priest (since 1991), manager of the Fund for Assistance to Political Prisoners and Their Families (since autumn 1983)
Genus. in 1941 in Moscow. In 1959 he entered Moscow State University at the Department of History and Theory of Arts, Faculty of History (evening department). He served in the army in the GDR for 3 years, after the army he was reinstated at the university, after graduation he worked as the director of a traveling exhibition: Irkutsk - Ivanovo. 1970-1973 studied there in graduate school: "Methodology of Soviet art history in the 1920s." (defended only in 1988). After the release of “The Gulag Archipelago,” on January 23, 1974, he issued a statement in samizdat in support of A.I. Solzhenitsyn. For 17 years he worked at the Ostankino museum-estate. Since the fall of 1983, he took on the responsibilities of the manager of the Fund for Assistance to Political Prisoners and Their Families, signed letters and appeals in defense of political prisoners. In 1991 he was ordained a deacon, in 1993 - a presbyter, and served in the Church of John the Baptist on Presnya. Died 08/30/2022.
